Good food, good friends, good times...

 We spent some time this last

week with our friends at their

cabin in Greer...

This is how close the fire came to

their place last summer...

this is looking out off their porch

and the fire was just across  a meadow

from them!

Big Harv making us his "special" breakfast...

Ann was helping him and threatening

Hoke to "stay out of my kitchen"

...the anticipation of eating this great breakfast!

It rained...

we played...

we tried to "pick" from this place...

Harvey almost got a sign from the guy, but no go!

we antiqued...

and relaxed!...

"Lunch..."

On Sunday we never eat "lunch"

because church is at ll:00

and Hoke is already gone...

so it's dinner about 4:00 or 5:00.

However...one of my favorite

places to do lunch is Crackers & Co.!

They have the best "fancy" salads and

yummy soups and sandwiches!

Hoke is not a fan because he thinks

it's too girl-y of a place

(however he has slammed their

hamburgers on occasion)...

so I think I feel a "girls day out" coming on!

Anybody interested???

Playing "catch-up"...

Hoke and I went to his mother's side of the family...

The Lofgreen Family Reunion

this past week...had a very relaxing time camping... 

Emily and her kids came...

here are the little campers

on the floor of the forest

enjoying the outdoors and the dirt!

Back on the home front...

I have this cute little chair outside

that has been in the garden and

flower beds over time...

now it holds one of Hoke's

fun birdhouses and an empty

flower pot because it's so BLASTED

hot that the flowers in it died!

Fourth of July...

...getting ready to go camping

but no real plans today.

"Best part of my day"...

Every morning (almost)

we ride our bikes to the

high school track and

walk/run 3 mi. and then

ride the bikes home...

...the best thing about that is the

big ol' fresh fruit smoothie

we get  to "cool down" - yummo!

Today's word is busy!

Everybody is busy these days...

why is that?

I always seem to try to take

on more than I should, like you I'm sure,

but I always eventually get things done.

With my upholstery...

...this mess of a shop is the result!

I'm not complaining, mind you, just saying!

  this is Duchess...

the Matriarch from the Phoenix Zoo

that just recently died of cancer...

she had class and was my kind of woman...

had a mind of her own and was her own person!
