R-E-D-...

My guest bedroom had this very RED
wall, which I loved 7 years ago...now not so much!

...as mentioned, I finally painted and here's
the new (ever so popular) aqua,
with my fun vintage headboard and pillows...

another little view of the "hankie" window,
and my yo-yo quilt (2055 little fabric yo-yo's, to be exact!)

also had this great old dresser that I stripped -

and repainted, much better...

and not done yet... here was a very
RED and messy closet...

now more organized - and less RED!
I love the color red just not {{RED}}.

Window...

I recently  painted
my guest bedroom and redecorated it...
here's a sneak peak of the {{window}}
...vintage little hankies all sewn together...
sweet dreams!

Day 7 - Something you wore...

Today I wore...many hats!
I wore my "healthy" hat and rode the bikes with Hoke...

I wore my "painters" hat...

I wore my "upholstery" hat...

I wore my "domestic" hat...

...and on a tragic note - I wore my "sad neighbor" hat...
most of you have probably heard on the news by now
about a fire in AJ where 4 people died...
it was on our street, just a block away.
We didn't know them but still - how tragic :(.

It's 5:00 Somewhere...

At Five O'Clock (sort of) today
I was driving with my sisters...

....to one of our "fav's"
(oopsy-looks like another naughty week!)

and then on to "Wicked!"
It was awesome :]

SMILE...

I'm a smilin' fool today...why you ask?
Weigh in at weight watchers and
after a really naughty week I
still lost almost 2 pounds...
I know, I know, 2 pounds is not much!
by I'll take it...it's a loss!

Day 4 ... BEDSIDE...

This is "bedside" on Hoke's side...
and this little contraption has changed my life,
AKA - C-Pap (or sleep machine).

We both wish he had gotten one 20 years
ago...way too many nights of snoring,
poking him in the ribs to turn over,
and sleeping in the kids rooms.

Life if Good!

My "AJ" NEIGHBORHOOD...

I live in Apache Junction...
and we all know the stereo-typical image
of  Apache Junction...
I live at the end of a l-o-n-g typical AJ street...
many people are afraid of my neighborhood...
...drunks crash into your gate...

this is the neighbor to the east
(thank goodness for tall fences!)
My other neighbor is a big, wooly, biker dude...
...however... I believe a home and
a NEIGHBORHOOD is what you make it...

We had an awesome Stake event today
for the community...

as you can see, very well attended
and enjoyed by young and old alike

free hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, bouncies,
lots of information on preparedness and
self - sufficient tips...

and supported by community!
I love my Apache Junction NEIGHBORHOOD.
