Three phases...

I love to sew, probably my hobby...

the little black singer is the

machine I learned to sew on. 

Don't  know when or where my

mom came by it but I love it.

the next one is my machine I bought

in 1974 and still love it...then I got

my upholstery machine and so it goes!

establishment but it makes me crazy!

Hoke goes up and down every isle,

and looks at everything, even if he

was just there yesterday!

I usually get tricked into going 

there when we're  out and about.

I'd  rather be just about anywhere

else but here.

I love when "spring" has sprung...

and all the yellow flowers.

 This little bunny cake

is not mine...it's Olivia's

for her birthday tomorrow.

The awesome Elder's

decorated it between 

conference sessions

they're  the best.

"Button down" apron...

For our "Apples & Apron's" themed Relief Society...

we demonstrated how to make an

apron from a man's button down shirt.

so I found some easy-peasy directions-

and wa-la...

my version.

40 years ago today...

Hoke came home from his mission.

Life as I knew it would never be the same :)

Hoke's birthday...

My sister, Nelda's, birthday...

Emily and Brady's anniversary...

Hoke's chair has had a lovely green sheet

thrown over it for a few years now...

finally re-did it!

Decided to keep the little gray girl...

just added a few colorful pillows

threw in a little wingback recliner...

and a few vintage accessories...

there ya go!

I saw a "m-word" in the shop yesterday

so Hoke set some traps...

Boooyaaaa - success!

What to do...

I love my new copper pot... it was given to us.

Hoke wanted to put it in the camping supplies...NOT!

 

...but I'm not sure what to do with it :-0

 

I could ice down water bottles for a party

 

I could take potato salad to the ward party

 

I could put fake plants in it

 

I could store firewood in it, if I had a fireplace, but I don't

 

I could put magazines or vintage quilts in it...

 

what would YOU do with it?

We babysat Violet the other night...

when I went in our room - this is what I found!

Birthday wishes...

Happy Birthday today to Beverly June!

Beverly Hillbillies????

Emily wanted to take her kids camping,

Brady had to work...so I went along.

We loaded the  van inside and out...

with tents, propane and burners, food, awnings, etc.

and off we went!

...arrived at our destination...

and patriotically decorated the forest...

decorated sugar cookies with new found cousins...

the "girlies" had their pink tent

that was a place to play...

on the actual 4th...we went into town to

enjoy some fireworks and discovered an

"indian" cave...as the boys called it...not sure why ?

 

Grandpa came up on Friday along with our buddy

Houston and got to spend the night...

on Saturday enjoyed a reunion celebration

with all the extended family (Hoke's moms side)

and then headed home.

 

So glad I got to go, but this ol' gramma is

also glad to be clean and in a soft bed!

Confused...

finding eggs is like an easter egg hunt!
